Highlights
- Vayve Mobility’s Eva, a solar-electric city car with solar panels for free solar charging.
- Eva’s quadricycle design makes it perfect for navigating congested city streets.
1. Value Proposition
- Solar-Powered Travel: Unlike traditional electric vehicles, Eva, a two-seater car (quadricycle) integrates solar panels to generate up to 3,000 km of free solar-powered travel per year.
- Affordable and Accessible: Eva bridges the gap between electric scooters and full-sized electric cars with an attractive price of ₹4.5-6 lakh, making solar-electric technology accessible to a broader audience.
2. Pain Points
- Congestion and Lack of Parking: Cities are becoming more crowded, and parking is increasingly difficult to find. Eva’s compact design makes it easier to navigate traffic and park in tight urban spaces.
- High Fuel and Maintenance Costs: Traditional internal combustion engine vehicles (ICEs) are less practical. By combining solar and electric power, Eva offers lower operational costs than petrol or diesel vehicles.
3. Climate Impact
- With solar-assisted charging, the dependency on the grid is lightened, which makes Eva far cleaner and more efficient than traditional EVs.
4. Current & Future Target Segments
- Current Target Segments: Daily commuters looking for a zero-emission vehicle that offers the added benefit of solar charging, and families that need a secondary vehicle for short, daily trips or errands.
- Future Target Segments: The company plans to roll out variants of Eva that integrate emerging technologies such as hydrogen fuel cells.
5. USPs
- Solar Charging: The integration of solar panels allows for free charging up to 3,000 km per year.
- Compact and Agile Design: With seating for two adults and one child, Eva is built for the realities of urban traffic, offering ease of parking and efficient navigation through crowded city streets.
6. Team Profiles
- Nilesh Bajaj (CEO): With over 13 years of experience in vehicle integration and product design, Nilesh has a strong background in developing high-complexity electronics systems.
- Ankita Jain (PM): Ankita brings experience in financial planning and delivery management, with expertise in handling large-scale IoT projects.
