As a run-up to CLINCH June 2024 contest by CLIMAFIX.
We provide a daily challenge to all the participants of CLINCH June 2024, in the run-up to the June 2024 edition. The challenge is usually a brief question around climate action, to which the contestants need to provide a brief but well-thought-out answer.
The winner for that day will be given the Climate Brain title for the day.

Rahul Balkrishna Waddar – from Basaveshwar Engineering College (A), Bagalkote
His answer:
“As the Prime Minister of India, I would introduce a comprehensive policy framework titled “Sustainable Mobility for All” (SUMA) to incentivize the use of public transport and reduce dependency on private cars. This policy would consist of the following innovative measures:
1. Integrated Mobility Pass (IMP) Unified Ticketing System: Introduce a single pass that allows unlimited travel across various modes of public transport, including buses, metros, suburban trains, and ferries, within a city. This pass can be extended for intercity travel as well.
2.Dynamic Pricing: Offer discounts for off-peak travel times to distribute passenger load evenly throughout the day.”
Congrats Rahul, and may you scale greater heights.
